Daiichi Hook, Model 2170 12-25 PK
By A Mystery Man Writer
Description
OVERVIEW: This bent shank design originated in England, where such hooks are used as bait hooks. Some fly tyers like the proportions of the short shank and wide gape. The bent shank and line of pull create a very positive outpoint angle resulting in easy hookups. This makes them very useful for egg patterns. Many egg hooks are down-eyed hooks which negate the effective gape and interferes with hooking ability.
